Snowman Tracing Pages for Speech and Language

Why do I work on tracing in speech therapy?

When I began primarily working in early childhood with ages 3 to 6, I began learning about what teachers were working on in the classroom. If my students were with me for a short time, in a less distracting situation than their classroom, I found that I could easily align my lessons with their classroom goals and still fully target their speech and language goals.

Tracing activities are something that prek and kindergarten students have to be able to do. Teachers use them for independent work a LOT in centers. Tracing also makes little kids feel REALLY big! They are always so proud of their tracing work.

Working in mixed groups can be difficult. Giving little hands something to do while they wait is much more productive as a whole.

I hope you enjoy these tracing activities for speech and language. There are more than 30 sets of this type of activity, across the 80 themes, in the Speech Room Resources Library.
